Daily Ops

Overview

Daily Ops are repeatable PvE missions in Fallout 76. They take place in instanced locations and focus on fast, objective-based combat.

Each Daily Op changes based on the current rotation. The location, enemy faction, enemy mutation, and objective type can change. Daily Ops can be completed solo or with a team of up to four players.

The goal is to complete the mission as quickly as possible. Damage, survivability, and staying on the objective are more important than clearing every enemy in the area.

Mission TypeObjectiveBuilt-In Modifier
UplinkRepair a signal repeater, activate uplinks, and stay near them while they calibrate.Piercing Gaze
DecryptionHunt enemies, kill Code Carriers, and disable radio interceptors.Savage Strike

If the game does not clearly show the mode name before entering, check the first objective after loading in. If the objective involves activating or defending uplinks, it is Uplink. If the objective involves hunting Code Carriers and disabling interceptors, it is Decryption.

Daily Ops Teamsv

Daily Ops can be completed solo or with a Daily Ops Public Team.

A Daily Ops Team is made for players running Daily Ops. Team members can help complete objectives, revive each other, and reduce the time needed to finish the mission.

Being on a Daily Ops Team does not guarantee that every player will enter the Daily Op immediately. Give teammates a moment to join before moving too far into the mission.

Daily Ops Team Tips

  • Create or join a Daily Ops Public Team before starting if you want teammates.
  • Give teammates a chance to load in before pushing the first objective.
  • If nobody joins, you can still run it solo.
  • A full team can reduce completion time, especially in Uplink, where multiple players can help keep the objective moving.
Uplinkv

Uplink is the defensive Daily Ops mode.

In Uplink, the objective is to repair a signal repeater, activate uplinks, stay near them while they calibrate, and defeat the final enemy leader.

Enemies in Uplink have Piercing Gaze, which makes stealth unreliable. Enemies can detect players easily, so the focus should be on holding the uplink area, staying alive, and keeping the objective moving.

Uplink Strategy

  • Move to each marked objective as soon as it appears.
  • Stay close to the active uplink while it calibrates. Leaving the uplink area slows progress.
  • Do not chase every enemy. Fight enemies that are threatening the team or blocking the objective.
  • In a team, players should stay grouped near the uplink unless someone needs to revive a teammate or deal with a nearby enemy.
Decryptionv

Decryption is the hunt-and-disable Daily Ops mode.

In Decryption, the objective is to hunt enemies, find Code Carriers, disable radio interceptors, and defeat the final enemy leader.

Enemies in Decryption have Savage Strike, which makes them more dangerous than normal enemies. Armor alone may not be enough, so cover, movement, healing, and damage reduction are important.

Decryption Strategy

  • Keep moving and follow the objective markers.
  • Focus on marked enemies and Code Carriers. Do not spend time clearing enemies that are not part of the objective.
  • Once a Code Carrier appears, defeat it, disable the interceptor, and move to the next target area.
  • Use cover, movement, healing items, and damage reduction to stay alive.
Enemy Mutationsv

Every Daily Op includes enemy mutations that change how the mission plays. Uplink uses Piercing Gaze, and Decryption uses Savage Strike. Other mutations rotate and can change enemy movement, durability, visibility, damage, or death effects.

During normal Daily Ops, enemies receive one rotating mutation. During Double Mutation events, enemies receive two rotating mutations instead.

Piercing GazeEnemies detect players much more easily.Do not rely on stealth. Stay on the objective and fight directly.
Savage StrikeEnemies are more dangerous, especially in close combat.Use cover, movement, healing, and damage reduction.
Active CamouflageEnemies are cloaked when they are not attacking.Watch for movement and attack when enemies reveal themselves.
Freezing TouchEnemy attacks slow players.Avoid repeated hits and keep moving.
Group Regeneration / Healing FactorEnemies can heal themselves or nearby enemies.Focus targets before they recover.
Reflective SkinEnemies can reflect damage back at players.Avoid heavy burst damage when reflection is active.
ResilientEnemies can only be finished with a melee hit.Use melee attacks, weapon bashes, or other valid melee finishers.
Swift-FootedEnemies move faster.Stay mobile and avoid getting cornered.
Toxic BloodEnemies leave toxic hazards after death.Move away after killing enemies.
VolatileEnemies explode when they die.Kill from range and avoid standing near groups.
Double Mutationsv

Double Mutation Daily Ops are versions of Daily Ops where enemies receive two rotating mutations.

These mutations are added on top of the mission's built-in modifier. Uplink still has Piercing Gaze, and Decryption still has Savage Strike.

Some mutation combinations can increase the time needed to complete the mission. For example, enemies that move faster can make objectives harder to control, while enemies that require melee finishers can slow down target clearing.

Before entering a Double Mutation Daily Op, check the modifiers, bring ammo and healing items, and use a team if available. Solo runs are still possible.

Rewardsv

Daily Ops rewards are based mainly on completion time. Faster runs earn higher reward tiers.

InitiateComplete within 16 minutes
PaladinComplete within 12 minutes
ElderComplete within 8 minutes

Elder is the highest completion tier. Daily Ops can be repeated for base rewards, ammo, XP, legendary items, and farming. Special time-tier rewards are limited to once per day.
