Index76 is an independent Fallout 76 reference site. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Index76, how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using Index76 or creating an account, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or create an account.

Index76 is not affiliated with Bethesda Softworks. Any Fallout 76 game content, names, and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a hashed version of your password, and the username or handle you choose. Your password is never stored in plain text.

Submitted content

If you submit corrections, screenshots, research notes, or other contributions through the site, we store that content along with your account handle and the date submitted.

Notification signups

If you choose to sign up for email notifications about upcoming features, we collect only your email address and the page or category you signed up from.

Usage information

We do not run analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking pixels. We do not use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for keeping you signed in.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain your account
• Process and review content submissions
• Send notifications you have opted into
• Respond to contact messages you send us
• Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.

Account data and submitted content are stored using Supabase, a hosted database platform. Data may be stored on servers located in the United States or European Union depending on Supabase's infrastructure configuration.

Notification email signups are stored in the same database and are only accessible to Index76 administrators.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on our systems.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of notification emails at any time by contacting us

Index76 uses session cookies only to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. If you do not have an account or are not signed in, no cookies are set.

Index76 is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Index76 after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
