Overview
Anglers are hostile mutated creatures in Fallout 76 that are most often found near water, especially in swampy areas of The Mire and parts of the Toxic Valley. They commonly appear around places like Gnarled Shallows, Dolly Sods Wilderness, and other wetland or river locations. Anglers can hide in and resemble glowing lure plants when submerged, making them easy to overlook in swampy terrain.
Spawn Locations
Anglers have a guaranteed spawn at Gnarled Shallows in The Mire. They also appear at Dolly Sods Wilderness and other wetland and river locations across The Mire and Toxic Valley. Anglers can also spawn during the events Moonshine Jamboree and Project Paradise.
Combat
Anglers are dangerous at both close and medium range. Up close, they attack with their claws and can hit hard with repeated melee strikes. At a distance, they use a ranged spit attack, launching burning or acidic projectiles at the player depending on the variant.

Variants
Albino AnglerA stronger pale-colored Angler affected by albinism.
AnglerThe regular version of the creature and the baseline for the other types.
Glowing AnglerA radioactive version with a green glow.
Scorched AnglersScorched versions of Anglers infected by the Scorched Plague. These versions have ultracite growths and exist for the regular Angler variants.
Venomous AnglerA tougher Angler variant with blue-green coloring.
