Campfire Tales is a public event in Fallout 76 where players gather at a campfire and take part in Scout Leader Penny's story. The event includes several camp activities before changing into one of a few possible final encounters.
The event takes place at Camp Adams in the Forest region.
Gather around the campfire
Start by gathering around the campfire and listening to Scout Leader Penny.
Destroy the shadows
Destroy the shadows around the camp — black wooden cutouts with glowing eyes. Damage them until they disappear.
Eat, drink, and emote
Eat, drink, and emote near the campfire to progress.
Collect dry kindling
Collect dry kindling from nearby areas and add it to the fire. Avoid wet kindling — it can spawn extra enemies such as radants, ticks, and radroaches.
Find the missing camper's items
Search for the missing camper's items. These can appear in the locker room, picnic area, showers, tents, camp office, or near the water pump.
Final encounter
The final encounter depends on which camper holotape is found. Keep the campfire burning by adding kindling — the event fails if the fire goes out before the boss is defeated.
