Heart of the Swamp is a public event in Fallout 76 where players destroy a newly bloomed Strangler Heart in the Mire.

Overview
Walkthrough
Find the Strangler Heart and attack it.
When damaged, the heart closes and becomes immune. Defeat the enemies it summons to make it open again. The heart can summon waves of:
- Strangler mirelurks
- Strangler feral ghouls
When the heart reopens, it releases toxic gas — keep some distance before attacking again.
At low health, the heart summons a boss enemy. This can be either:
- Strangler mirelurk queen
- Strangler Grafton Monster
Destroy both the Strangler Heart and the boss creature to complete the event.
Notable Rewards
- Rad-X
- Random ammo
- Random aid item
- Random plan, armor, mod, or weapon
- Chance for a legendary weapon or armor
