The Holiday Scorched event is a seasonal Fallout 76 event where festive Scorched can appear at normal outdoor Scorched spawn locations. They wear holiday outfits, make a jingling sound when nearby, and always spawn as legendary enemies.
Holiday Scorched do not appear inside instanced or interior locations. Defeating them gives normal legendary loot and a Holiday Gift, which can contain seasonal rewards.
Look for Holiday Scorched at outdoor Scorched spawn locations during the event.
Tip
Listen for the jingling sound when you enter a location — that usually means a Holiday Scorched is nearby.
Clear the Scorched at each stop, then move to the next location. After reaching the end, return to the start or switch servers if enemies have not respawned yet.
Handmade Holiday Gifts are crafted versions of the Holiday Gifts from the Holiday Scorched event. They are made at a Tinker's Workbench using Gift Wrap and Adhesive. The Super Duper perk does not create extra gifts when crafting them.
Go to a Tinker's Workbench and craft the gift using the matching Gift Wrap quality. Gift Wrap comes in different qualities, and each one creates a matching Handmade Holiday Gift.
During the Holiday Scorched event, Vendor Bots and Grahm sell Gift Wrap in the Misc section of their inventory. Each vendor carries a limited amount, but their stock can refresh when you switch servers. Once the event ends, vendors stop selling Gift Wrap.
For the best prices, raise your Charisma before buying. Useful options include Hard Bargain, Grape Mentats, Magnetic Personality, and joining a Roleplay Team.
The best value is usually Medium Quality Gift Wrap — it costs much less than High Quality Gift Wrap while still giving a solid chance at holiday rewards.
During the event, the Santatron Collectron Station can collect holiday items at your C.A.M.P. or claimed workshops. It can rarely collect Holiday Gifts, along with toys, sweets, coal, and other junk items.
You can also set some existing Collectron stations to collect holiday items if you do not want to use the Santatron model.
