Overview

Scorched Earth is an endgame boss event triggered by launching a nuke at Fissure Site Prime. Once the missile lands, the Scorchbeast Queen emerges and players must defeat her before the timer runs out.

The event requires a nuclear keycard and launch code to initiate. It is one of the most demanding events in Fallout 76 and benefits from a coordinated group.

Walkthrough

  1. 1Launch a nuke so that Fissure Site Prime is inside the blast zone.
  2. 2After the missile hits, the Scorchbeast Queen appears and the event begins.
  3. 3The fight alternates between air and ground phases. During the air phase, attack the queen with ranged weapons and try to force her to land. Watch for her sonic attack and crop-dusting attack, which can cause radiation and poison damage.
  4. 4When she lands, focus damage during the ground phase. She uses melee attacks, lunges, radiation damage, and shockwaves while grounded.
  5. 5Throughout the fight, waves of Scorched and other infected creatures will spawn — clear them as needed, especially if they begin overwhelming players.
  6. 6Additional scorchbeasts may also appear during the fight; deal with them if they are disrupting the group.
  7. 7Keep damaging the Scorchbeast Queen through each phase. If she is not killed before the timer ends, she leaves and the event fails.
  8. 8Defeat the Scorchbeast Queen to complete the event.

Notable Rewards

Completing the event can reward Ultracite Power Armor plans, Ultracite PA mod plans, and Prime weapon receiver plans.
