Treasure Hunter is a limited-time seasonal event in Fallout 76 where special Treasure Hunter mole miners spawn across all regions of Appalachia. Killing these enemies drops mole miner pails — loot containers that can be opened for randomized rewards.
Treasure Hunter mole miners emit an audible beeping sound when a player is nearby, making them easier to locate while exploring. This sound registers as an effect, so turning Effects volume up and lowering other audio settings can help when hunting them. See the video at the bottom of the page to hear it.
Different pail tiers have different reward pools. Plans, apparel, and cosmetics are distributed across those pools. Pails can also be crafted at a Tinker's Workbench.
